Assassin’s Creed: Liberation heroine Aveline is returning in ACIV, in missions exclusive to PS3 and PS4 copies of the game, as previously announced.
With roughly an hour’s content putting Aveline back in the spotlight, the PlayStation versions of ACIV are aiming to be the best.
Jill Murray, the lady who penned Liberation, is returning to continue Aveline’s story, which picks up after the events of that game. Aveline may be a bit older but it doesn’t seem to have had any effect on her assassination and super-human climbing skills.
Her journey will be broken up into 3 missions, similar to the Tyranny of King Washington in ACIII. It will not be directly related to the end of her story, so we will see her set out on a new adventure.
These missions will be accessible through the Animus in the modern day, where Abstergo are searching through genetic memories of assassins.
Lead Writer of ACIV Darby McDevitt explains:
The present-day is set in Abstergo Entertainment – which is this fun, hip company to work for… at first. You are able to access the Aveline stuff because your coworkers are working on retrieving different genetic memories from all kinds of different people. Of course, this being Abstergo, there’s something much darker at play.
