Energy Hook, a game developed by Happion Laboratories, will be swinging its way to PS4 and Vita sometime next year. The studio is owned by Jamie Fristrom, a designer who helped perfect the swinging mechanic found in the Spider-Man 2 game, and you can see similarities make their way over to Energy Hook.
You’ll be swinging through buildings using your energy hook to attach to walls, and you’ll also be able to wall run. This is most likely to please Spider-man fans who weren’t happy when the series reverted back to swinging on thin air.
The project has recently been funded via Kickstarter and you can watch a video from Fristrom below.
Energy Hook sports a gorgeous cel-shaded look and seems like it could cause you some severe vertigo, especially if you decide to play it on your Vita during a bumpy car ride.
