Ever since the release of Grand Theft Auto V and it’s multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online, fans have been quite vocal about the addition of heists to its multiplayer. The good news is Rockstar Games has confirmed that heists are indeed being added to Grand Theft Auto Online, and they have released a new trailer showcase its four player co-op action. The bad news that players will have to wait until sometime in “early 2015” for its release.
Heists will have you and three friends plan, prepare, and execute various multi-tiered objectives across the Los Santos cityscape. Communication and coordination will be key if you are to succeed. Heists will feature new gameplay, new vehicles, new weapons, new clothing and much more.
According to an interview with IGN, heists will require all players to be rank 12 or above and the designated heist leader must own a high-end apartment, you know, so they can have room to plan everything. When Heists launches in early 2015 it will have five unique strands consisting of 20 missions total. Rockstar says it will make up about 20 hours of additional gameplay. There is plenty of replay value, too, depending on which roles you want to play as and various bonuses you can earn for playing them in specific ways, like in the newly added First Person Mode.
Heists will be available to both PS4 and PS3 versions of Grand Theft Auto Online.
