The Just Cause franchise is notable for letting players do plenty of absolutely absurd and imaginative things in its open-world environments. Just Cause 3, released worldwide this week, is no exception.
The latest release from Avalanche Studios features the franchise’s biggest playground yet with more than 400 square miles of sea, land, and air available to unleash chaos in whatever manner players see fit. The launch trailer for Just Cause 3 shows but a glimpse of what kind of destruction you can be capable of and features the award winning Japanese CGI specialists Visual Works and NME’s Band of the Year 2015 – Kasabian.
“We’ve been waiting for this moment ever since Just Cause 2 was released,” said Christofer Sundberg, founder and Chief Creative Officer at Avalanche Studios. “This is the culmination of a decade’ s worth of open-world evolution and innovation. In JUST CAUSE 3, we’ve sent Rico to a beautiful Mediterranean archipelago. He is of course bringing his Grapple and Parachute, both with game-changing upgrades, as well as the brand new Wingsuit. JUST CAUSE 3 truly represents the next generation of chaotic sandbox fun, and we can’ t wait to show you more next year.”
They Day 1 Edition of Just Cause 3 includes more bang for your buck, with three exclusive weaponized vehicles at your disposal. For the sea, it includes the Mugello Delphino GLF speedboat with dual miniguns for when those pesky fish get in your way. On land, you get access to the Urga Pocomaxa X4 buggy and the Kerner Serpente R12 sports car for when you want your destruction to be a little more classy.
Just Cause 3 is now available worldwide, so go ahead and get your mayhem on!
