It should come as no surprise to learn that we’ve spent most of the week causing all kinds of chaos on the streets and rooftops of Seattle. Oh, and we’ve been playing a lot of inFAMOUS Second Son too!
My week has been spent primarily playing two games, one of which you can probably guess. inFAMOUS Second Son has been taking up most of my time on the PS4. I’m still progressing though the good playthrough, although the Paper Trail DLC is taking up a good portion of my time as well. Other developers take note; this is how to properly do extra content.
On the PS Vita, I’ve been playing the free-to-play Destiny of Spirits. It’s actually quite fun and addicting collecting various Spirits and essentially taking over the world, grid by grid, with them. The pay mechanic isn’t bad, either, and doesn’t feel forced at all. It heavily relies on online play, though, so be sure to have an internet connection handy at all times.
This week I spent most of my time on inFAMOUS Second Son and Final Fantasy X HD, both of which I’m loving. Final Fantasy X isn’t giving me half the trouble it did when I was a child; I think I’ve been managing my Sphere Grid and experience better this time round.
I’ve also been playing Dynasty Warriors 8 on Vita and MXGP on PS3, and although it isn’t Sony-related, I’ve spent a lot of time on Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright on 3DS.
It’s been a good week for gaming, and I look forward to starting my evil playthrough on inFAMOUS now I’ve finished the good one.
I’ve just unlocked Delsin’s third power on inFAMOUS Second Son, and reached 50% overall completion. To be honest I haven’t really been focusing on the story, because I find that aimlessly running around Seattle and blowing things up is much more fun!
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has seen a lot of action too, particularly during the first half of the week. I think I’m very gradually improving (I’ve come away with an S-rank in a couple of missions now!), although I still get spotted by enemies far more frequently than I’d like.
I also played the newly released Fez, mainly on PS4 but also briefly on PS Vita and PS3; it may have taken two years to arrive on PlayStation consoles, but it was definitely worth the wait. Also on PS3, I’ve put a couple of hours into Final Fantasy X HD, but to be honest I’ll probably have to wait until after I’ve finished with inFAMOUS and Ground Zeroes before I put any serious time into it.
