After last week’s extra-large edition of PS4A Picks, today’s is a much more bite-sized affair, which features Destiny, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X and Star Wars: Battlefront.
I’ve played a lot of Star Wars: Battlefront this week, as I got the season pass while it was on sale. I’m really enjoying the new content and still think that this is a fantastic FPS, as well as one of my favourites – it also helps that I’m a big Star Wars fan! The Death Star DLC in particular is handled spectacularly, and how each mode merges into another to create one big experience is great fun. I’m looking forward to the Rogue One DLC and seeing what’s next for the series.
I’ve played a fair bit of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X across Vita and PS4 too, which is a game that keeps pulling me back in. Unlocking new modules is addictive, the song list has some of the best Miku tracks around, and I’m eager to clear more songs on expert mode. It’s a shame that Future Tone is unlikely to head West, but I’ve now got over 100 Vocaloid songs at my fingertips to play through, and they have taken up permanent residence on my Vita.
As I mentioned in my last Picks, the release of the Rise of Iron expansion prompted me to finally return to Destiny after a ridiculously long break. It therefore shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that it was my most played game of the last two weeks, by quite some margin. Things got off to a slightly shaky start, as the level 40 character boost meant that I was initially presented with an almost overwhelming selection of missions to complete, so to be honest I didn’t know where to start.
However, after a couple of hours I quickly began to rediscover the game’s various systems and nuances, so since then I’ve been gradually working through as much content as I possibly can. Even so, my Light Level is still only an unremarkable 347, so I still have a long way to go before I see absolutely everything the game has to offer. Light Level 385, here I come!
