This week, Matt died a lot on Don’t Starve, Mitch started Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS3, DolphGB learnt to speak fluent pirate (kind of) in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and I maintained my uncanny impression of a broken record.
Haven’t had nearly as much gamin’ on the hour as I’d like ’tis week, so bin ‘n dedicated all available hours to Assassin’s Creed IV on th’ PS4. Despite a couple (‘n I mean a pair; no more than that) ‘o silly glitches – which were more comedic than annoyin’ – ’tis a really solid experience that I be enjoyin’ immensely. ‘n I can already be tellin’ that ’tis goin’ to be possible to sink 100 hours in ’tis a’venture too. I be gettin’ fully invested ‘n I be only 13% ‘o th’ way through th’ story, plus thar’s th’ huge amount ‘o collectibles ‘n side-missions to complete too. By the hour I get through ’tis, I’ll be speakin’ fluent scurvy pirate…
This week I downloaded the new Don’t Starve on the PS4 thanks to PlayStation Plus. It’s not exactly my type of game. On my first attempt to survive, I died from bees within the first 30 seconds. I’ve gotten better over time, but I just can’t see it keeping my attention for long. Also, starving appears to be the least of my problems as it seems everything else is out to kill me.
I also gave my PS3 some love this week downloading a backlog of games off PS+ including DmC. I haven’t played it yet, but look for it in next week’s PlayTime.
I haven’t played a lot this week! I got Battlefield 4 on PS4 and I’m enjoying it much more than the disappointment that was Battlefield 3. I’ve also been playing Zen Pinball 2, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and started making my character on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS3; I’ll be upgrading to PS4 when it releases next year!
I’ve been playing a lot of Bravely Default and Phoenix Wright on my 3DS, as well as reading some Evangelion mangas. My urge to play through Persona 4 Golden again has been growing much stronger, so you’ll most likely see that in next week’s PlayTime!
Although it’s difficult to believe, this week has been much of the same for me, as I’m still focusing on games like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack and Zen Pinball 2 (basically, the same games I’ve been playing for weeks!).
Although it’s absolutely awesome, I’m getting slightly frustrated with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag now, due to the number of game-breaking glitches I’ve encountered towards the end of my time with it. The Sharing is Caring trophy is almost unobtainable on PS4, Community Challenges never appear, and a couple of Database entries refused to unlock, which means it’s basically impossible for me to reach 100% completion. Come on, Ubisoft, sort it out!
