The Battlefield franchise has always featured massive multiplayer maps that take full advantage of vehicle and ground patrol combat, and Battlefield 4 is no different. The game takes full advantage of the new Frostbite 3 engine gives players the freedom to pretty much play the way they want to, whether that means piloting a jet fighter and commanding an airstrike or getting down and dirty fighting as a soldier on the front lines. The latest trailer from EA gives fans just a taste of what’s possible.
As you can see, the battle takes place on both land and sea and in the air. Players can control all sorts of vehicles from Apache helicopters to ATVs to jet skis. You can even get a little creative in how you approach the battle as well. Riding an ATV to the top of the skyscrapper in “Siege of Shanghai” and then driving it off the roof is not a problem at all, apparently. Neither is attaching C4 to a jet ski and then detonating it as you steer towards the enemy.
There are dozens of ways to play Battlefield 4 and the trailer above is only a glimpse of what people are currently doing in the game. Look up Battlefield 4 videos on YouTube and no doubt you’ll find dozens of videos of skilled players being creative in how they play. Battlefield 4 is already out on the PS3 and also launches alongside the PS4 this Friday, November 29th in Europe. Will you be picking up a copy? Be sure to let us know in the comments, along with your preferred vehicle of destruction. See you on the battlefield.
